---SPOILERS---

The first night is empty. The second and third nights represent the deaths of Samantha's son then her husband, during these nights the notes change to reveal letters to Samantha from an unknown source. The fourth night starts abruptly with Samantha being awakened in bed, it's the first night that doesn't start with Samantha leaving her studio (as seen at the end of the final night). This is because she has lost control, the friend/neighbor in the letters is aware of the murders, she isn't safe in her own home, and has to leave. She travels to the neighbors house and kills him (breaking the TV). However she failed to murder him before he could report it to the authorities. The final night you play as a detective investigating Samantha (as seen by the warrant) who is then murdered by Samantha. However this is still told through Samantha's perspective as she is the one retelling the story to the interrogator, hence the hallucinations. Perspective changes back to Samantha's, as she starts the night leaving the studio door. Police surround the house, so she attempts, and fails, to commit suicide, leaving the large scar across her face.

The game cuts back to the interrogation from the beginning. Samantha then tells the interrogator in the final interview that despite being caught, her crimes will always haunt the interrogator. This is because she is referring to how the interrogator failed to prevent the other officer from going alone to investigate Samantha (the note on the warrant) making the interrogator liable for the death of the officer.

And then the game ends.

I appreciate this is a much longer explanation of the story than for what you were asking for, but I wanted to put it out here because there's alot of misconceptions online, even some of those "story explained" videos get a couple minor details wrong. Anyway, I hope this helped!

Sorry I spent most of the game joking around, that's how I cope with being terrified

Great game! The scares were a little less intense than other games but it's not necessarily a bad thing! Here's my playthrough if you're interested! :)

Amazing game! Also one of the scariest games I have ever played. Keep up the good work!

I'm extremely impressed with how you told this story, certainly a one of kind experience

I think you should be incredibly proud of what you created and it certainly has me stoked for the future

You've earned my follow and support, keep grinding and refining your craft

Thanks for sharing this awesome game with us

I played this video and just uploaded my reaction to it. I have to say this game and the art style within it's self is fantastic!

i fucking loved this so much that i hated every second of it !!!!!!!

This was a lot of fun! The concept was great, the story and everything was neat as well, good work :)

one of the few games that gets my paranoia on edge...

That was super intense. I loved it! I hope you make more games because that was REALLY scary.

HOLY CRAP THIS GAME SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME

Just a great horror game. You should play it!

Great horror journey, really enjoyed the pacing and the change of themes throughout, added variety and made the experience unpredictable. I loved the scares you used as well, a good mix of realistic horror with surreal elements. Thanks for creating, solid experience from beginning to end :)

THIS GAME WAS SO AWESOME I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF THIS even if it made me VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! Great work devs!

AWESOME GAME!!! KEEP IT UP GOD BLESS TO YALL AND STAY SAFE

Loved this. Really cool take on perspectives that you don't see in many games!

Great Game! Thank You Devs! Watch My Playthrough Here!

Definitely scared me!

This game was excellent! I really liked your take on the psychological angle of the world warping around you as an extension of the murderer's psyche. I haven't seen it done with this much style before. I especially liked the billboard eyes and people that watch you, and the floating TVs.

The only thing I was confused by was how the game had to reinstall after I quit out the first time. Not sure why that happened.

But the design of everything here was really memorable. Still don't know what was up with that painting of a... Cardinal sitting in a gold patio chair while rocketing into another dimension. Where'd that come from? I need a game about that next. XD

gut game

Great game. Very suspenseful. The cop bit had me on edge xD

this game was so good, actually  had me super scared and stressed. I was jumping at every sound. Wonderful job to everyone who was involved!!

this game truly unsettled me, do maniacs really be going through this, and if so how do you know Totally Fungal?

I haven't felt this stressed out and scared playing a game in a VERY long time. Great use of sound, imagery, and forcing the player to do things that most probably wouldn't want to do. Major props to the team and everyone involved, had me screaming like every 5 minutes.

This game left me extremely uncomfortable. Bloody hell, it portrays the experience of paranoid hallucinations a little too accurately. Definitely a thumbs up from me:

This was very creepy and very well done! Really enjoyed the dive through the psyche of a psychopath. Great job!

I find that your game is one of those that best uses the principle of the loop. This one is well justified in the heart of the scenario and is punctuated by really twisted scenes. Great job and greetings from France!
